Woodside Creamery

Hi Brandon,

Thanks for contacting us regarding the food allergy issue.

We understand the concern regarding food allergies. It is true that all of our ice cream flavors are made on the same equipment, including the pre-packed quarts and pints. We work very hard to clean and sanitize our equipment between flavors. We take every precaution that we can to prevent cross contamination of flavors that contain nuts with other flavors that do not. That is why we have our staff scoop using a clean scoop out of a new box of ice cream when they are told about a food allergy. We want to be honest with our customers about the process. The reality is that with our limited production capabilities we simply do not have the ability to have dedicated equipment for specific products.

Again, we do take every precaution we can and are confident in our sanitation procedures, however, because we do use peanuts and tree nuts in some of our products we simply cannot give a 100% guarantee.

On the trailers if we have an unopened box of a flavor to scoop with a clean scoop we will do so. I hope this answers your questions and if not please let me know.

Thanks again.

Best,

Janet
